Program Description
The Advanced Certificate in Business provides current insight into the main aspects of local and international business with a focus on business management and human resource management. It covers business culture and strategy, managing people in small and large organizations and in different departments such as marketing, economics, accounting, business law, and IT. The Advanced Diploma in Business can provide advanced entry to degree-level study or a master’s degree program.
The Advanced Diploma in Business is PGWP eligible when students complete the University Pathway, studying two years at Focus College and an additional two years at one of our partner institutions to complete their Bachelor’s degree. The student will gain a solid foundation of the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the business world.

The Advance Diploma in Business, University Pathway Program is an excellent option for students who are just shy of entry requirements directly into public institutions.
- Students with a 6.0 IELTS, or a 5.5 band, can improve their English skills while simultaneously earning credit towards their degree, rather than spending time and money on an upgrading program.
- Likewise, students who have not taken maths but wish to enter a BBA program have the option to upgrade their math while taking courses at Focus College Abbotsford.
- For students who are looking to fast-track their education, this program offers the possibility of completing the two-year Advanced Diploma in 18 months of study.
On completion of this Pathway program, students will be eligible for jobs in corporate and personal businesses such as Office manager, Manager of production, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Team Leader/Manager.
